QLD Chapter AGM 14th July 2010
Education News
We had our annual workshop in March this year, 80 participants from across the state attended. We had ten companies come and showcase their goods and services, providing great sponsorship for the day and giving away lots of fun freebies. With a variety of presenters and topics, the day proved to be a great success.
On May 15 2010, we had a 4-hour education workshop held at Greenslopes Private Hospital. Topics were chosen from feedback from the March workshop and included, Pain Management, Falls Prevention, Continence Management and Bariatric care. We had 24 attendees and all presenters received very positive feedback.
We are having our AGM on July 14th at Brisbane Private Hospital. Prior to the meeting we will have a guest speaker. All are encouraged and invited to attend. Details will be posted out in early June.
Chapter Committee Meetings
The QLD Committee formally meets every two months at Brisbane Private Hospital or via teleconference. All members are encouraged to contact the committee with any ideas they may have for events throughout the year.
Sponsorships
Just a reminder that we have funds available to award two educational sponsorships to QLD members. We have not had anyone take up a sponsorship in the last few years and are hoping that this year there will be more interest. ARNA QLD is committed to supporting Rehab nurses continuing education.
