Proposed Education Sessions

November 2009 - 3 Day Road trip by ARNA committee to rehab country areas (yet to be approved by DON’s to be released)

• Date to be finalized mostly in November 2009 . Pauline , Trish, Shaun and others (linking with Northern Qld. rehab speakers as well) will drive up to different rehab units to present topics on Rehab Nursing, Multidisciplinary team, goal setting and other topics as specified by target group eg accessing Spinal.
  
• Trish to develop survey and availability of venues etc once approval to be released and date finalized with team
  
• ARNA Cost would be petrol/ food and accommodation for 2 nights (ARNA committee staff would use their Professional Development Allowance money)

December 9th – one hour tutorial at Brisbane Private at 5pm – topic/speaker to be advised

March 2010- 8 Hour workshop in Brisbane – venue to be advised (most likely PA hospital if venue available)

• Theme would be the latest innovations/ quality activites in different Qld rehab units – to develop speakers within Qld rehab
• Emphasize EEN role in rehab
• Have an allied health component
• Some key speakers as well
• There will be a call for topics and people to present

May 15th Saturday – 4 hour workshop at Greenslopes

Topics will come from the identified learning needs from the evaluation forms from the March workshop
