The Chapter Committee has been busy planning this years study day which is to be held on Monday July 26th at the Repatriation General Hospital. This year theme is “Discharge Readiness for the client and Family”.

I was recently invited by The Rehabilitation Clinical Network to become a member of a workgroup looking at Workforce, education and training within Rehabilitation. The scope of the workgroup cover three areas;

i) Develop workforce strategy,
ii) Recommendations to enhance skill development and training
iii) Recommendations for rehab training including expanding University-Hospital partnerships

Chapter Committee Meetings

Meetings continue to be held at St Margaret’s Rehabilitation Hospital and via teleconference for our NT committee members.

The Chapter is able to offer 2 x $250 scholarships per year. In line with National guidelines, applications must be received by 30th June 2010.
