Chapter Committee Meetings
The Chapter Committee meetings occur on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 4.30 to 5.30pm at Dandenong Hospital and via teleconference. Discussion includes; planning future chapter study days, chapter scholarships and promoting the 2012 ARNA National Conference to be held in Hobart in October. We aim to keep the Chapter Study Days free for members. In response to feedback received at past Study Days we have increased the Study Day registration fee for non-members from $70 to $80.
Communication to Members
The Victorian/Tasmanian Chapter members have been receiving advertising flyers for the Chapter Study Days via email and mail. The Committee have decided to ‘think green’ and in future will email all communication to members who have listed an email address. We will continue to send flyers via mail to all those who have not listed an email address, however we encourage you to provide ARNA with an email address. We will continue to add this information, and more, to the Chapter website.
Chapter Study Days
The Chapter holds three Study Days per year, with the aim of at least one being in regional Victoria or Tasmania. Chapter Study Days are free for ARNA members and a small cost for non-members. Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a certificate of attendance are provided. Registration forms and topics are advertised closer to the event.
If you are interested in hosting a Chapter Study Day or promote an event at your workplace please let us know.

Chapter Meetings
Chapter Committee Meetings
The Chapter Committee (see list above) have been meeting regularly throughout 2011-2012. We plan to regularly update the chapter section of the ARNA website, send out regular email newsletters and promote chapter scholarships. We welcome any suggestions or comments from members too.
Chapter Meetings for Members
The Chapter Meetings are held during the Chapter Study Days and are an opportunity for members to hear feedback from the President who attends the 2nd monthly teleconferences of the National Committee Meetings, to hear feedback from the regular Chapter Committee Meetings, as well as to provide feedback and ask questions about any issue that they would like to discuss. For instance, during two recent Chapter Meetings we received feedback from members regarding increasing the registration costs of attendance at the Chapter Study Days for non-members, while keeping the member registration free. This has now occurred.
Chapter Annual General Meeting
The Chapter Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held during the July or August Chapter Study Day. Chapter Committee Members are elected, future plans are discussed and member’s input is valued to help develop the Chapter. We are always looking for people interested in becoming a Committee Member of the Chapter. Lots of support is provided by the other Committee Members so even if you have never been in a role like this before we welcome new faces. Each portfolio has more than one person involved so there is always support available. We understand that these are voluntary positions, so any input is welcome. (This can be included as part of your Continuing Professional Development hours.)
