  National Conference Diary Dates Scholarships Call for Abstracts

ARNA Education Scholarship Fund

Purpose
To provide financial assistance to members of the Australasian Rehabilitation
Nurses Association Inc (ARNA), to attend recognised education programs and
international, national or local conferences or symposia.

Eligibility
The applicant must be a voting member of ARNA and have been a financial
member for a minimum of two consecutive years immediately prior to the
submission of the application. There will be a period of two years between
successful applications.

Process
The maximum amount to be offered will be $1000 per applicant. This amount may
be used to cover the cost of registration fees and/or travel costs and/oraccommodation costs.

Amounts offered by Chapters may differ from the
amount awarded by the National committee. For maximum amounts offered by Chapters please refer to your Chapter committee.


The closing date is 30 June.
Applications must follow the application guidelines.
The assessment of applications will be undertaken by the Scholarship Subcommittee
of the ARNA National Committee who will forward recommendations to
the National Committee. The decision of the National Committee will be final.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application within eight weeks of
All the successful applicants must provide feedback to ARNA in the form of a
written report for publication in JARNA. The holder of the scholarship portfolio on
the ARNA National Committee will act as a resource person for those needing
assistance with the writing of the report.


Selection Criteria

All applications which meet the eligibility criteria and are complete will be considered.

All applications to attend recognised education programs will be considered.

All applications to attend international, national or local conferences or symposia will be considered.

Applications will be judged on their completeness, comprehensiveness, succinctness and general presentation.

Applications will be judged on their relevance to rehabilitation nursing and their potential to improve the process and outcome of patient care.

Applicants presenting a conference or symposium paper will be considered more favourably than poster presentations and conference attendance.

Applicants presenting a conference or symposium poster will be considered more favourably than conference attendance.
