- Situation that led to increasing the focus on falls prevention
- Identified realities of falls risks in Rehabilitation and GEM patients
- Adopted framework for everyday falls prevention
- Creation of a proactive versus reactive nursing culture, and
- Environmental strategies implemented to assist falls prevention.
Meet our Presenters:
Kerrie Garrad - NUM, Rehabilitation Unit, Redcliffe Hospital
Kerrie is the NUM of the Rehabilitation / GEM Unit (now Rehabilitation and Stroke Unit) at Redcliffe Hospital, and has been employed by the MNHHS since 2001.
Kerrie has been a member of the ARNA National Committee / ARNA Board since 2015. She is also the Past President of ARNAQ and has been an active ARNA member since 2013.
Kerrie's special interests are building teams and removing harm from hospital experiences.
